Football/Soccer Fever

Monday morning was a strange site, the motorway to work was eerily quiet and free flowing, not a traffic cop anywhere. Walked into work and it was so still and quiet, I did a double take and wondered if I somehow mixed up Sunday with Monday. Alas no, it was World Cup Finals! Hardly anyone came to work until 9.30am after Spain's win. A carrot knows more about football (soccer) than me but I did baske (slighly) in the glory of the All Whites :-) Who would have ever guessed that a small nation like ours would ever stand amongst giants of the football world. Go the mighty All Whites - still unbeaten!
